Tangents Paperback and Ebook

TANGENTS was my thousandth story and therefore the climax of my 'Pandora's Bluff' story-cycle. The project took 33 years in total. This final piece is a frame novella made up of one hundred flash fictions linked by style and mood.

 I wrote most of these flash fictions in Sri Lanka and India, a few in Egypt, then finished the set in Wales, in the National Library in Aberystwyth, as it happens.


The book was published in a limited edition in Brazil by Raphus Press but it is no longer just a limited edition. Thanks to an arrangement with that publisher, a mass market paperback and ebook edition are now also available.

The final flash of TANGENTS is a prequel to the very first story in 'Pandora's Bluff', turning this huge project into a gigantic loop.

TANGENTS was supposed to be the last story I ever wrote, but it didn't work out that way. As so many people told me, I wouldn't be able to stop writing. They were right and I was wrong. I actually think most of my best work has been done since I completed my thousandth story.

That's just my view, of course. The main thing is that 'Pandora's Bluff' is done. I never really thought I would ever finish it. The writing world is full of surprises.
