The Supernatural Nature of Nathan Gesture

Publication day again!

This is a slim book, only 100 pages or so. It concerns the humorous adventures of an unusual occult detective and his equally odd sidekick.

To celebrate its publication, I’ve made the ebook free for the next five days. If you like your supernatural mysteries blended with heavy doses of paradox and absurd logic (where the police insist crimes are solved by pure reason while actual goblins, shapeshifting detectives and cosmic toads get involved) this might be right up your nightmarish alley.

Meet Nathan Gesture: An occult detective who 'bunks' reason to prove that behind every logical phenomenon, there is a ghost, ghoul or petrified goblin.

Meet Inspector Mimsy: The well-meaning police officer who is utterly convinced that werewolves, vampires and demons are just clever human villains wielding film projectors.

Meet Jubjub: Nathan's loyal servant and tandem-bicycle powerhouse, who pedals while Nathan eats cucumber sandwiches in the front seat.

The book contains four weird tales:

(1) The Mysterious Gesture – A murder involving a bronze chandelier that is actually a petrified Celtic goblin.
(2) The Ultimate Shape – A werewolf burglary that escalates through an absurd chain of monster-transformations all the way to a lighthouse.
(3) In the Dusk of the Dawn – A metafictional collision between rival detectives, masks, and identities.
(4) The Why of the Witch – An investigation into a forest witch that turns a walking cane into the world-tree of the multiverse.

You can grab your free ebook copy here. The free offer expires on October 12th.

I hope you enjoy the logical chaos (or chaotic logic?) !
